Joshua M. Ball

Joshua M. Ball (Josh) graduated magna cum laude from the University of Tennessee and received his law degree from the University of Memphis in 2000. During law school, he served as comments editor of the University of Memphis Law Review. Following graduation from law school, he served a judicial clerkship with the Honorable Alan E. Highers of the Tennessee Court of Appeals.

Josh joined Hodges, Doughty & Carson in September 2001. His practice concentration is general civil litigation and trial practice. Josh routinely handles complex personal injury, wrongful death, commercial litigation, and insurance coverage dispute cases. He also practices in the areas of insurance defense, motor vehicle accidents, boating accidents, product liability, premises liability, aviation, construction law, commercial litigation, utility law and dram shop law.

Josh was selected to be a member of the Tennessee Bar Association Leadership Law program in the Class of 2007. Mr. Ball has been featured in The Best Lawyers in America for his high caliber of work in defending personal injury cases.

Josh currently serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee of the Knoxville Habitat for Humanity.

Josh is an East Tennessee native who enjoys spending time with his wife and children. Josh enjoys traveling to watch his sons play baseball in tournaments throughout the Southeast. Josh holds a private pilot’s license and enjoys playing golf and boating.
